Message From Sajedur Seraj
Dear Members,
As we embrace a time of change and progress, I believe it’s crucial to listen to the voice of our future-and work towards a united Bangladesh free of inequalities. Many of you may know me from my previous role as Member Finance at Gulshan Club, where I served diligently over two terms from 2012 to 2014. Today, I’m reaching out with a renewed vision by announcing my candidacy as the President of our beloved Club for the term 2024/25.
We are in the midst of a transition-one that calls for a more dynamic, inclusive, and vibrant community. I want to be a part of this transformational wave, working with you to turn Gulshan Club into a hub of engaging minds, collaborative initiatives, and cultural distinction. Together, we can set a path that fosters social, cultural, and artistic dynamism, making Gulshan Club the epicenter of innovation and community spirit.
To those I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, allow me to introduce myself. I am Sajedur Seraj (membership number DS- 13)-Sajed to friends, Uncle Sajed to the younger members, and a committed supporter of our Club.
Coming from a business family, I have been privileged to continue my father’s legacy. My late father, Mr. Serajuddin Ahmed, a prominent businessman and the founder of Elite Paint in the mid-1950s. The business has since grown into a diverse conglomerate encompassing Elite Garments, Elite Steel, and several other ventures. I hold a B.Sc. Honours in Finance from the University of Manchester and currently serve as the Deputy Managing Director of Aqua Paints, Elite Garments, Elite Steel, and as a Director of Aqua Refinery. I am married with 3 children who are pursuing their education.
I am running for this position with a firm belief that it’s time to steer our Club towards a future-focused, meaningful transition. My aim is to make Gulshan Club a place where all voices are heard and every member feels represented.
I shall soon share my vision, outlining major goals, and I look forward to your support as we work together to create a Club that we are all proud of-a Club that is future-ready.
